Fun fact: Italian shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo is the official inventor of the wedge shoe, having first designed it in 1936 and later going on to patent it in 1937. We were ecstatic to see his famous rainbow cork wedge sandals on Snapette! He designed them specially for actress Judy Garland in 1938.
