Snapette recently sat down with Store Manager and former Assistant Designer Chelsea at Cynthia Vincent’s New York flagship boutique. The store is a bright, inspired space flowing with verve and creative energy. We especially found the festive holiday decorations peppering the walls and windows to be a nice touch. And with a comfy couch smack in the middle of the space, it’s impossible not to feel right at home.How did you find your way to Cynthia Vincent? I designed with Cynthia in L.A. for two years. I wanted a change from Los Angeles and always wanted to live in New York, so when Cynthia mentioned that she wanted to open a store in NYC, I jumped at the opportunity and offered to manage the store for her. I’ve been here since February.How are you finding the transition from L.A. to New York? I love it! New York is a space where you come into you, and you really settle into your soul. So far I’ve found it to be an engaging place, and have met so many amazing people through the store, and just living day-to-day life. It’s so beautiful.What are some of your favorite CV accessories in your closet? The cork wedges, brown moccasins, and the yellow wedges.As for must-have customer pieces for the holiday season? In life… love! In the store I dig the hobo bags and of course the essential CV totes, but I really love the moccasins this season. They’re super easy to pair with any outfit, they’re comfy, and they’re cute. What are some of your hobbies and interests? Jewelry making, being a breeder of unicorns, and a Director of Radness.What are your favorite places around the store to grab a quick bite or some coffee? Bowery Coffee on Houston, and Cafe Gitane over on Mott. You absolutely have to try their lentil salad, couscous, and avocado toast.Where do you see yourself, in whatever capacity imaginable, in five years from now? I hope to be doing something that involves the creation of art and curating of fantastical happenings. Whatever it is, it will definitely be creative and healing. Anything that’s magical and has to do with the expansion of love!That sounds good to us!
