Double Take!
Jessica Chastain, of The Help, wearing McQueen and a piece from the Dolce & Gabbana A/W 2012 runway show in Milan. Looks like they’re shopping in the same fabric store.
Raf Simons is out and Jil Sander is back! Raf’s final designs for the Jil Sander A/W 2012 Milan show was widely noted as a stunning collection and possibly the most touching moment of fashion week 2012. Raf left us with less is more, delicate pastels and neutrals we can get behind. He’s set the bar high for Jil. Can’t want to see what she churns out but until then imagine how much fun we’ll have pairing these outfits with handbags and shoes!
Snapette adores Raf and we wish him the best!

Prada A/W 2012!
Purple runway?! Prada can do that when they’re sending such bold pieces in color, cut and style down the runway. Don’t even assume that the accessories played second fiddle to the purple runway and flashy Ready to Wear collection! The bag’s geometric shapes and gemstones definitely caught the eyes of the audience. We’re glad to see Prada isn’t afraid of showing off bold colors for Autumn/Winter 2012 and even more excited to see these bags and shoes on Snapette!

Fendi Fall 2012 Milan Fashion Week
Designers Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi chose a color palette of tawny blonde, navy and ash grey to tell a story of winter glamour, complete with leather dresses, pleated skirts and puffed-up shoulders. Though polished and impeccably finished, the collection had the aura of the modern warrior-princess, feminine but oh-so-strong.
Snapette loves the hair as well!

Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2012
Waist cinching velvet belts adorned with bows, leather pipping, fur collars, owl embroidered sweaters, and accessories to die for: It was all in the details at the Burberry Prorsum show. From the collection, to the music selection, let alone the mock rain shower during the final walk, this show hands down has our vote for the best at London Fashion Week.
Watch the live stream. Trust us, it’s well worth it!

Front Row: Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Kate Bosworth, Will.i.am, Alexa Chung
Music: “It Could Have Been Better” by Joan Armatrading, ”Numb” by Marine & the Diamonds, “To Build a Home” by “The Cinematic Orchestra”
The Doo.ri Fall 2012 fashion show took place on the cobble streets of the art district in a minimalist space packed with editors, bloggers (ManRepeller & Bryan Boy) and TV personalities (Brad Goreski of “It’s a Brad Brad World”). Talks of trips to Cape Town and St. John after fashion week halt to a stop once the lights turn up and the music begins. A wave of slow motion fabric in gray, burgundy, lime, navy and winter ivory filter down the runway. The once jaded faces down the aisles now stare with intensity. After 25 minutes of streaming beauty the show ends but the pieces remain etched in the audiences’ mind. Doo.ri’s fall 2012 collection displays how far she’s come since her 2007 launch, but her roots clearly remain in the draping of the fabric. Snapette really enjoyed the show and we have no doubt that her Macy’s collection will be just as fantastic!
