Street Style: Early Fall Accessories in SoHo

The transition from summer to fall can be rough. It’s getting too late for sneakers, but it’s still too early for boots. Your fall coat doesn’t quite cut it, but that winter jacket would definitely be overkill. In these most uncertain of times, there is one thing that we can depend on: accessories. So for this installment of our Street Style segment, we decided to head down to SoHo and see what kind of jewelry you guys are sporting for this ever-complicated transition between seasons.

First, we stopped to chat with Isabel, a native New Yorker who definitely looked the part. She kept it simple and reminded us that all black is always a safe bet, especially for a fall day in the city. With regard to her choice of accessories she said, “Gold and diamonds; what more can I say?” Nothing else needs to be said; we’re convinced!

Next we met Ife, a Swedish transplant who blew us away with this awesome take on a shawl-collar tux jacket! The painted scene on her gold earrings make quite the statement, but she did a great job of toning it down by choosing to leave the necklace and home and donning this simple yet sophisticated two-finger ring that she found at Artists and Fleas, a great weekly collaboration among vintage shops and independent artists that is definitely worth checking out next time you’re in Williamsburg.

Finally, we talked to Stephanie, who caught our eye with her ever-so-trendy leather pants and military-inspired jacket, all tied together with a perfect mix of accessories. Her stack of bracelets definitely makes a statement, with a line-up of leather, silver, and brass pieces that strikes the perfect balance between delicate and rugged. With gold earrings and simple bar necklace to tie it all together, Stephanie seems to have her fall style on lockdown!
