Ladies from the Snapette team skipped over to the 5th Annual Emerging Trends Fashion Show hosted in Boston this past Saturday. The event invited up-and-coming designers from UK, Poland, Ireland, Canada and US to showcase their creative designs.
One of our favorites was Manthey by Christine Manthey. Her collection played with vibrant hues and mosaic-like designs that were reminiscent of Moroccan art.
Trash by Angela Brejt, a Polish designer, was inspired by the fictional character, King Kong. Her collection consisted of graphic dresses and jackets with images of angry gorillas, airplanes and bananas.
Accessory collections were also shown on the runway. Bitru Fariel’s pieces were made out of everyday objects such as coils, watches and leather.
Our favorite accessory was Marieka Ratsma’s bird skull shoe. This shoe highlights the aesthetics, shape and lightweight characteristics of the bird’s cranium.
