Snapette: Tell us how Wolf & Badger got started.
George: My Brother Henry and I recognised the opportunity to take some of the amazing independent fashion, jewellery and design brands that the UK produces every day (but often go unnoticed despite their fantastic talent), and bring them to a wider audience via our stores and online. We started in Notting Hill and now we also have stores in Mayfair, Porto Montenegro and online.

Snapette: Who is the Wolf & Badger customer ? Who do you have in mind when you’re stocking the store?
George: There is something for everyone at Wolf & Badger, so long as you have an interest in fashion and jewellery that isn’t just ‘ordinary’.
Snapette: To new customers, how would you describe Wolf & Badger style ?
George: There isn’t one specific Wolf & Badger style; we carry a varied range of pieces from independent brands, both for men and women; but all our pieces are united by a common theme of being fantastic quality, incredibly creative, limited in production, and unlikely to be seen elsewhere…
Snapette: What do you love and look for in a designer?
George: We look for quality of their product, innovation in design and a certain unique element to their collection. We get to know our designers very well personally, and inspect each and every piece before we will sell it in our stores or line.

Snapette: Have you ever thought of launching your own line?
George: Wolf & Badger is all about supporting, promoting and retailing the finest independent fashion, jewellery and design brands. We do not currently have any plans to launch our own line, as that isn’t really what the Wolf & Badger platform is about.
Snapette: Who inspires you ?
George: Captain Planet. He’s a hero.

Snapette: … And if you could have a super power – what would it be ?
George: To breathe under-water. Obviously. =) Although it would also be great to be able to fly.
Snapette: What is the craziest thing that has ever happened in your store ?
George: We have a certain very well know celebrity customer that once started serenading one of the shop-team in the middle of the store in front of everyone!
Snapette: We definitely wished we were there when it happened !! =)
Snapette: When you see a piece you love and buy for Wolf & Badger, how often is it an impulse versus a calculated decision ?
George: Every piece in our store is borne out of a love for the piece. There is some calculation, sure, but nothing beats impulse.

Snapette: One last question, for our Techies; How does Fashion and Technology play a part in your everyday life ?
George: The iPhone has had a huge impact on my life. I’m always snapping well-dressed people, particularly our store team, and posting the pics to our blog and twitter.
